So a friend of mine (thank you juani!) showed me this great product by Google. It is Google’s approach to CAD. A very simple and easy piece of software that allows the regular Joe to do beautiful 3D graphics.
The program is called Google SkecthUp. You can download it here.
I’ve been playing with it and it is really amazing. It is very simple and intuitive to do things which allows the imagination to run free.
Dwell magazine is hosting a contest called “Design your Dwelling” and all submission have to be made through Google SketchUp. It is also a great tool to create samples of games, interior designs and graphic design. Another really cool feature is that you can upload your design to Google Earth.
Google keeps developing products that are truly amazing. This is one of my favorites.
