Quite often my friends ask me how do I find music. Most of the time is through those programs that shall not be named. But lately I have discovered a new tool and well, let the music come!
Here is the trick. It requires some “terminal” skills under OS X, but nothing to be terrified about. There is a tool called “wget”. This tool will download everything that you tell to download. We don’t want that. We just want MUSIC!
So this is how we do it.
wget -r -l1 -H -t1 -nd -N -np -A.mp3 -erobots=off -i ~/mp3blogs.txt
This is basically download all the mp3s that you can find in the list of URLs that are inside mp3blogs.txt. Since you are executing this in terminal, the text file needs to be in the same folder where wget is. And also all the files you download will be saved in that folder.
So for example, you will download wget here. It will be saved wherever you decided to save it. Then in terminal you will go to that path and that’s it!
Questions let me know. This is VERY EASY!
