My dear friends who live outside the U.S. can’t enjoy sites like HULU and Pandora I have a solution! Well technically I didn’t do it, but I am telling all of you how to do it!
The reason today is that I was talking to Ziggy about a new TV show that I like here called “Chuck” and he got interested and was waiting for my link to an episode. So I went to HULU, searched for it and send him the link. Then I discovered that he got a “You can’t access this site from your country” crap.
Now I know what needs to happen in order to be able to so but it requires some technical expertise that I am not willing to explain to my friends since they are just incapable of reproducing what I am saying. Anyhow I did my research and found a nifty little program that will do exactly that and it is free (sort of) and it works both in PC and Mac.
The program is called HotSpot Shield and it is designed to protect your connection to the internet when using a public access. What it does is that it connects to a VPN (Virtual Private Network), what it means to all of you is that you have an US IP address. Thus you can watch HULU and listen to Pandora!
