Anna-Catherine Hartley, better known by her stage name Uffie, is an American-born, Paris-based rapper currently signed by the French music label Ed Banger Records.
Uffie was born in Miami, but shortly moved to Honk Kong to then return to Fort Lauderdale. At the age of 15 she moved to Paris where she finished school. In Paris she found love and started a relationship with DJ Feadz (a producer for Ed Banger) and after two years of love, a first single was released on Uffie’s MySpace.
Her first single, “Pop the Glock”, after getting a limited promo release on Arcade Mode in January 2006, was released on French label Ed Banger Records. The release also had a remix by SebastiAn.

Two more new tracks from Uffie, “Hot Chick” and “In Charge,” appeared in audioblogs in July 2006 before appearing on her MySpace page. They were later officially released on Ed Banger Records.

In February 2007, the song “Dismissed” was included on Ed Rec Vol. 2, an Ed Banger Records label compilation, and on June 19, the single “First Love” (produced by Mr. Oizo) was released on Uffie’s MySpace.
